The procedure is generally as follows:
- A fungicidal wash is often applied as a pre-treatment to tackle moss, algae, lichen and so on that has made a home on your roof.
- It will then be power washed using a high pressure water jet from a petrol-powered commercial cleaner.
- Small repairs that may be required to make the roof good are now carried out. Missing and damaged mortar and tiles can be replaced and loose tiles re-seated.
- At extra cost, but of the utmost benefit, a Roof Sealer or Roof Coating can be applied.
• Replace any deteriorating mortar between crests, ridge and hip tiles.
• Re-pointing of lead flashing.
• Ridges and crests re-bedded.
• Damaged roof tiles replaced.
